Voar de Mandalay para Heho... pelo meio parar em Bagan, ficar no avião a espera que saiam e entrem mais pessoas. Tudo feito ali na pista do aeroporto e mais parece um serviço de bus, tira mala e poe mala no porão e segue.

Em Heho, Inle Lake ficamos dois dias:

• transfer to the canal pier in Nyaungshwe, the gateway Town of Inle Lake. Full day tour on the outrageously beautiful lake by private boat to see the Jumping Cats (Nga Phe Kyaung) monastery, region’s most revered Paundaung Pagoda, traditional silk weaving looms at Inn Paw Khon village, the silversmith village, and the impressive ruins of Inn Dein village.
• While on the boat tour, observe the unique lifestyle of Inn Thar people… the leg rowers, floating gardens, fishermen with strange fishing gears...
• Visit Shwe Indein Pagoda

• Quando chegamos a nossa guia tinha um kispo com ela, achei que era tolinha, pois fiz o passeio todo de manga curta, mas na manha seguinte percebi... começamos bem cedo e de manhã, antes do sol nascer faz frio no barco (mas o meu casaco de malha deu conta do recado).
• No lago paga-se mais um pouco no preço das refeições, mas come-se muito bem. Não há muita escolha, como na cidade, pois também são flutuantes e a construção no lago é limitada.
• A não perder. Quero voltar!

After years of isolation, Myanmar is open to tourists... responsible tourism.

Como em qualquer sitio existem regras e há que seguir-las. Pela minha experiência existem sempre turistas idiotas mas se vamos visitar um país que não é o nosso, com uma religiao, cultura diferente há que respeitar. Apesar de chegar ao final do dia com os pés pretos, e de me parecer que alguns borbulhos não seriam apenas picadas de insectos (talvez de pulgas), sem dúvida que vale a pena visitar. Mente aberta sempre.

E quem não respeita acaba na lista negra :) :)

Dia 3... pequeno almoço no hotel e voar para Mandalay (voo de 25 minutos), o programa incluiu:

• drive to Amarapura and visit a typical Burmese village on the way;
• walk at centuries‐old U Bein Bridge, known as the world’s longest span built by the teak wood;
• visit Mahagandayon Monastery with over 1000 Buddhist monks while they queue for their last meal of the day at 10:15am;
• see one of traditional Burmese silk weaving looms that have been the major production center in Amarapura for more than 150‐yrs;
• drive to Inwa ferry port - take a short ferry ride across “Small River” (NAO FIZEMOS - take a horse cart ride along bumpy jolting trail passing scenic farms dotted with pagoda ruins and typical Burmese villages. In Inwa, you will see an old huge wooden monastery, the site of the Inwa Palace and the leaning tower of Inwa, and the beautiful masonry monastery of Queen Maenu - NO HORSE/ANIMAL RIDES FOR US);
• drive to Sagaing to see the unusually shaped Kaungmudaw Paya, the silversmith of Ywahtaung village producing impressive Burmese traditional silverwares, and some pagodas of Sagaing hills.

Segundo dia em Mandalay (Mingun):

• private boat on the legendary Ayarwaddy River for around 1‐hr and visit some amazing monuments of 18th & 19th centuries, such as the huge unfinished Mingun Paya, the world biggest working Mingun Bell dedicated to the gigantic Mingun paya now known as the world’s biggest pile of bricks!
• Visit Myatheindan (Sinbyume) pagoda built to depict the heaven of Buddhist cosmology.
• Lunch in Mandalay
• Visit the In‐City highlights of Mandalay: the Mahamuni temple, the most important religious site of all upper Myanmar, the intricate wood‐carved Golden Palace monastery: the world biggest stone books: the huge Kyaukdawgyi Marble image carved‐out from a single block of stone: if the King Mindon's Myanansankyaw Palace site of Kaunbaung dynasty;
• visit Mandalay Hill pagoda where you can enjoy the panoramic view to the city, palace & surrounding area just before sunset.
